Highlighting a passage feels like progress, but it doesn't force you to process what you read. The built-in annotation tool lets you jot a quick note next to a paragraph — "main claim," "counterargument," "example." That tiny act of summarizing in your own words does more for comprehension than a page covered in yellow ever will.
